We are so grateful for the PTLL members who join our board of directors, or otherwise donate their time above and beyond VOD requirements!

All potential board members should be prepared to spend at least several hours per month on their board duties (time commitment varies a lot depending on position), to act as leaders within the organization, and to positively represent us in the larger community.

Additionally, all board members are expected to maintain volunteer membership, regularly attend monthly board meetings (held at the Toy Library at 8 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month), and participate in governing the toy library.

We also welcome members with interest in becoming Friends of the Board. These fantastic volunteers do a little bit extra to help keep the PTLL running, without the time commitment of a full board position. An FOB might maintain the art room, stock supplies, or help with a project.

Below is a list of positions that are currently unfilled. We encourage you to express interest in any of these, but please do not consider it an exhaustive list. If you've got a special skill, talent, interest, or just a great idea...we'd love for you to share it with us!

Our board members often do not have any experience before entering their positions; while it's great if you do, we're really looking for enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Many board members use these positions as an opportunity to learn a new skill, and they can be a great resume booster for stay-at-home parents looking to reenter the workforce. Our organization runs best when the voices running it are diverse. If we've created barriers that are stopping you from being able to join us, please reach out and let's figure out how we can remove them!
